Tournament:

The Myrtle Beach Tournament (www.seniorsoftball.org)

Dates:

March 19-23, 2014.....35+, 40+ & Women play on Sat and Sun.....50+, 55+, 60+ & 65+ play on Fri, Sat and Sun.....70+. 75+ & 80+ play on Wed, Thur and Fri.  PLAYERS RECEPTION will be at the Host Hotel on Thursday night at 7:00pm, all players and guests welcome.

Location:

7 Grand Park Fields at Market Commons (Old Air Force Base) and 4 Fields at the newly renovated Carolina Forest Complex plus additional fields as necessary.

Teams:

It is estimated that 60 to 80 teams from the USA will be attending to compete in The Myrtle Beach National Invitational Tournament in their division this year.  The synthetic turf fields will be used each day of the tournament. 

Ticket Prices: Admission to all venues is FREE.
 

Parking

No charge for parking, adequate parking is available at the parks.

Managers Meeting:

The manager's check-in will be at the Sand Dunes 74th Ave N., Myrtle Beach, SC at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 21.  Managers check-in and receive tournament materials.  (70+, 75+ and 80+ managers will meet at the Grand Park Complex on Wednesday morning one hour before their first scheduled game time.)  Also, on Thursday night beginning at 7:00pm there will be a Players Reception for all participants with food and drink for all.

Team Check-in:

During preliminary play at the ball park, players check-in as a team at one convenient time.  Player photo ID's (drivers license) are needed for the team check-in.  Managers should bring the original copy of their roster with original player signatures to the team check-in.

Tournament Seeding:

The tournament staff will place the teams in brackets and prepare the preliminary schedule which will be posted on the website approximately three days prior to the tournament. The preliminary game record will be used to seed your team into the double elimination finals. The exact format will depend on the number of teams in each division.

First Game: March 21, the games may begin at 8:30AM on Friday.  70+ and older Divisions will start on Wednesday, March 19 and conclude on Friday. the other divisions will end on Sunday afternoon and the Awards Ceremony will immediately follow the final game.

Deadline:

Complete Online Entry early and then mail Entry Fee to the ISSA Office by March 1.  (exceptions only for the benefit of the tournament, entry in most divisions will be accepted until schedule making time.)

Rosters Due: A copy of the ISSA Roster Form should be submitted with the Entry Fee (Final roster must be turned in at  the  Managers Meeting or the Team Check-in with original player signatures.)  Players arriving late can sign at the check-in or prior to their first game.)  This tournament will be played by 2014 ISSA Playing Rules. 

Divisions of Play:

Teams will be placed in skill level divisions based on their ISSA Rating and verified by the tournament staff. 

Fees:

The entry fee for all classifications is $425.00.

Souvenirs:

T-shirts and other apparel may be for sale at the park.

Berths: Division winners receive a berth in the 2015 WTOC at Tampa, FL.  All teams that participate in all three of the ISSA Carolina Trail events (this one plus Burlington, NC and Charlotte, NC) will receive a discounted berth in the ISF Senior World Cup at Salem, VA.
